I had a rough idea for an Arabic warrior and came up with this .

NESQUICK COMMERCIAL

Worked on this commercial in the month of May this year . This was my fav chocolate drink when i was a kid,partly because of the Nesquick bunny and the taste .My contribution to this project is the Nesquick Bunny 3D model and Uv's . Could not work on the Blendshapes for this because i was getting married the next week (hehe). A short deadline this was,happy with the final model .

THE LEGEND OF ARAD - USC

Earlier this year i got the opportunity to work on this project . This is a short film by the people at USC School of Cinematic Arts with more info on the website

I modeled some statues and worked on some elements for the BG , and it was great experience to work with the Director Sepehr Dehpour . I gained valuable experience while working on this project and i am glad i got a chance to contribute to this film. I absolutely loved the trailer and the best part was it starts off with the stuff that i did hehehe :D ,pretty cool .

Modeled and sculpted the statues in Maya and Zbrush . Its great seeing my name in the credits under modelling .
Looking forward to the completed film,and hope to get some more opportunities like this again .

VH1 NEW

This is a channel packaging we did recently for VH1 India . This project was a collaborative effort between myself and one of my closest friend and an awesome 3d generalist , Assad Dadan . This was a very important project for us as it was our first full project as a team , and we will be doing more projects in the near future .
My contribution was modeling,texturing of all the assets for the project and also the rigging,animation,for the initial shot .
The dynamics used and the modeling,animation,final lighting & rendering was done by Assad .
The live action elements were added during comp .
Happy with the final output , though could have been better . :D

Kellogg's Chocos

One of the Projects I had the opportunity to work on in the month of May .
Loved eating chocos as a kid, so this was a fun project to work on .

Worked on the Character Model,UV's & Texturing , Facial Expressions .
From modeling till the blendshapes were done in Maya . Textures painted in Photoshop.

SONIC & THE BLACK KNIGHT

Sonic is one of my fav characters..Based on the Sonic and the Black Knight game.
Modeled in Maya,worked in zbrush for the pose,getting the pose right took a bit of time.Rendered in Maya.
Also wanted to give toon rendering a try.Rendered the contours and toon shader separately and then did the rest in Photoshop.

Night Light

Since i am teaching lighting thought I'd do some lighting myself (hahaha),got this scene off the internet,low poly model,don't know who has modeled this but amazingly done.
Did the lighting and bit of the texturing,rendered in Maya software and some edit in Photoshop.Made this on Sunday,took almost a day,good fun.Hopefully my lighting should improve,not a bad start(hahaha......).

Inspired by a concept art i found on the internet ,the original character is older but i modified it slightly.Modeled this in the month of August last year.
Base mesh modeled in Maya,detailed in Zbrush,textured using Zbrush and photoshop,rendered in Zbrush in different passes and did the comp in photoshop.

This one was a quick doodle i did at work,the base mesh was made in maya and zbrush for sculpting and texturing,rendered in zbrush as well,photoshop for comp.Made this in the month of July last year and it took around 2h:30 mins

This one was also fetured in the AUGUST - SEPTEMBER 2008 issue of CG ARENA magazine.

But the biggest thing is that this particular artwork has also been selected under the 3d protraits rendered in EXPOSE 7 magazine by Ballistic publication to be out in the month of JUNE this year.Its an absolute honor to be among these amazing artists,best thing ever.

Daredevil Scale Bust

Came across this amazing website called Sideshowtoy,awesome stuff,maquettes and collectibles,my favorite,saw this amazing one of Daredevil,it was so cool,it just had that attitude,
i just had to make it,one of my fav models.Made this in the month of June in 2008.

Worked on this commercial for Mtv , modeled all the characters and have also done the UV's and the blendshapes for them,loved working on this project and it was a good experience.This add won Best Animation PSA (Public Service Announcement) at the
2nd Golden CursorAnimation Awards presented at Mumbai

Old Man sculpt

I had never tried sculpting an old character,so i took this chance to study wrinkles and stuff,made this in the month of February in 2008.This took around 3 days,very happy with the end result.

Also did a test render in Maya using normal mapping and rendered in mental ray.

Based on a concept art i found on the internet,ended up adding my own bits into it,experimented for the first time with normal and displacement mapping in Maya,along with SSS.Made this in the month of February in 2008,this one took around 5 days.
